Willie T. Clay, author of The Big Walk, is honoring the original leader of the Civil Rights Movement, Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth, in his continuous quest for economic parity with his work.  It was on July 15, 2006, when Willie was honored in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, that he was bestowed the charge and responsibility to carry on the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement established by his forefathers. Rev. Shuttlesworth handed Willie the Civil Rights Movement torch. From that day forth, Willie pledged he would commit his life to economic equality.

Mission Statement

To inspire and guide Blacks in America to invest and participate in the mainstream of what America is about - the capitalistic system and forms of cooperative economics; to keep the focus off the problems of the past, and on implementing capital development strategies in Black America to create collective wealth; and to build a stabilized capitalistic standard for Black-controlled businesses.
The Big Walk

This book was made possible because of the author's desire to explore the basic problem of Black people. He was motivated by some very necessary qualities with which one must be equipped to sustain oneself in life if he or she is to survive. All of us, as people, meet many complex crises and are confronted with many disappointments that are discouraging.  Somehow the author is blessed to have been able to see the problems, and he wishes others to have the benefit of his experiences and what he has learned from them.  This book is based on a reality so vivid you will live each event; you will feel each emotion, and you will experience these events as though they happened to you.

The author was dared to attempt THE BIG WALK -- WE DARE YOU TO READ IT.
